Peak Edges Weekend — Two Days of Guided Gritstone Trail
Two days on the gritstone edges — Stanage, Curbar, Derwent — with the most straightforward travel of any trip we run.
The Peak Edges Weekend is our easiest trip to actually get to: trains from Manchester and Sheffield put you at the trailhead in under an hour, so you can leave Friday evening and be running by Saturday morning. The running is moorland and gritstone edge — big views, runnable ground, and climbs that are short rather than brutal.
It works as a first trail weekend and as a solid training block, because we run two contrasting days rather than the same terrain twice. More options: all weekend breaks or the Peak District tours.
